The four wig constructions, explained
Every human hair wig is a cap plus hair, and the construction of that cap decides how the wig parts, how it is installed, how breathable it is, and what it costs. The four constructions buyers ask us about most are:
Full lace wig: the entire cap is lace, with every strand hand-knotted. It can be parted anywhere and worn in high ponytails and updos, because there is lace (not wefts) at every point of the head.
Lace front wig: a lace panel across the front hairline, usually 13x4 or 13x6 inches, with a machine-wefted back. The hairline looks natural from the front, while wefts keep the price down.
360 lace wig: a ring of lace around the whole perimeter (front, sides and nape) with wefts through the crown. You get a natural edge all the way around for ponytails, at less than full lace cost.
U-part wig: a wefted cap with a U-shaped opening at the top. You pull a section of your own hair through the opening, so the crown and part are 100% your hair; no lace, no glue.
Full lace wigs: maximum versatility, highest price
Because every knot is tied by hand into lace, a full lace wig is the most labour-intensive construction we produce, and each cap takes days of work. The payoff is total styling freedom: middle part, deep side part, braided-back styles, high buns and slicked ponytails all look like they grow from the scalp. Full lace is the right choice for stylists doing custom units, for clients with total hair loss who want an undetectable scalp everywhere, and for buyers who change styles constantly. Expect the highest price of the four and treat the delicate lace with care during installs and removals.
Lace front wigs: the everyday choice
Lace front wigs are what most retail customers actually need, and they are the best-selling wig construction we export. The 13x4 or 13x6 lace frontal gives a realistic hairline and ear-to-ear parting space, while the wefted back adds durability, keeps density looking full and brings the cost well below a full lace unit. The trade-off is styling: because the back is wefts, high ponytails and updos will expose the tracks. Worn down, half-up or in low styles, a well-made lace front from raw Indian hair is very hard to detect.
360 lace wigs: ponytails without the full lace price
A 360 wig is the middle ground. Lace runs around the entire hairline, including the nape, so the wig can go up into a ponytail or bun with a natural edge at the back, while machine wefts through the crown keep it more affordable and quicker to make than full lace. Choose a 360 if ponytails are a must-have but budget matters. The one limitation: parting is only possible around the perimeter and in the front lace area, not across the whole crown.
U-part wigs: fastest install, most natural blend
U-part wigs skip lace entirely. The U-shaped opening lets you pull your own hair over the top, so the part and crown are genuinely your hair; there is no lace to melt, no glue, no tinting. Installs take minutes, which makes U-parts popular for beginners and for protective-style wearers who want their scalp accessible. The catch is that you need enough healthy leave-out to cover the opening, and your leave-out must match the wig texture, which is why our raw Indian natural straight, wavy and curly textures blend so well for most buyers of Indian and similar hair types.

Want the lowest-effort, most natural result with some of your own hair out? Choose a U-part wig.
Wear your hair down or in low styles most days and want the best value natural hairline? Choose a 13x4 or 13x6 lace front wig.

Want to part anywhere, style anything, or fit a client with total hair loss? Choose a full lace wig.
Stocking for resale? Start with lace fronts in the 16 to 24 inch range, add a few 5x5 closure and U-part units for glueless customers, and take full lace on order rather than holding it in stock.
On pricing, as a rough market guide rather than a quote: human hair lace front wigs typically retail from around USD 150 to 400 depending on length, density and lace type; 360 wigs usually sit somewhat above a comparable lace front; and full lace units often run 40 to 80 percent more than a lace front of the same length. Frequently asked questions
Which is better: a full lace wig or a lace front wig?
Neither is better; they serve different buyers. A full lace wig wins on versatility, since it parts anywhere and goes into updos. A lace front wig wins on price and durability and looks just as natural worn down. Most first-time wig buyers are happier starting with a lace front.
Can you wear a high ponytail with a lace front wig?
Not convincingly. The back of a lace front wig is machine wefts, so a high ponytail exposes the tracks and the cap edge. If ponytails are important, choose a 360 lace or full lace construction, which have lace at the nape for a natural edge.
Are 360 lace wigs glueless?
They can be. Many 360 units are worn glueless using the adjustable band and combs, especially at everyday densities. For slicked-back ponytails or active wear, most stylists still secure the perimeter with a light gel or adhesive for a flatter, longer-lasting melt.
Do U-part wigs damage your natural hair?
Used sensibly, no; they are considered one of the more protective options because there is no glue and your scalp stays accessible. Damage usually comes from over-tensioned combs or daily heat styling on the leave-out. Rotate placement, keep the leave-out moisturised, and give your hair rest days.
How long does each wig construction last?
With raw, cuticle-aligned human hair, the hair itself can last two to four years or more with good care. The cap is the limiting factor: wefted U-part and lace front caps tend to outlast delicate hand-tied full lace caps, and lace repairs or knot re-ventilation can extend the life of any unit.
Should I choose HD, transparent or Swiss lace?
HD lace gives the most invisible melt on the widest range of skin tones and is the current retail favourite. Transparent Swiss lace is slightly sturdier and costs less, and works well on fair to medium tones or when tinted. For wig-making stock, HD front lace with a Swiss cap body is a common, practical combination.
What density should I order for each construction?
For a natural look, 130 to 150 percent suits full lace and 360 wigs, since lighter density sits better on an all-lace perimeter. Lace fronts carry 180 percent well because the wefted back supports the weight. For U-parts, match your own hair's fullness; 150 to 180 percent blends best for most buyers.
